School Size: 120 pupils | 100 devices

The Challenge
When Rebecca joined the leadership team at Kingsbury Primary School, the school was facing significant IT issues. Outdated hardware, patchy wireless coverage, and insufficient support had severely impacted day-to-day operations. The situation was further complicated by the presence of a second school operating on the same site, creating overlapping IT demands and no clear network separation.
Our Approach
We began with a comprehensive audit of the school’s IT infrastructure. Our findings revealed:
- Extensive hardware obsolescence
- Multiple wireless connectivity blackspots
- Poor network segmentation across the site
We quickly identified that upgrading end-user devices alone would not resolve the underlying issues. A full site survey was carried out to map existing infrastructure and determine the most effective path forward.
The Solution
To create a strong and scalable foundation, we implemented a full IT infrastructure replacement. This included a complete network redesign with a cabling overhaul, the replacement of outdated servers and core switches, and the deployment of enterprise-grade wireless access points across the site. Additionally, we designed a VLAN configuration plan to support future network segregation.
These upgrades eliminated all known connectivity issues and significantly enhanced internal network performance. More importantly, they established a future-proof solution capable of securely and independently supporting both schools.
The Outcome
The transformation has already led to significant improvements, including reliable and consistent connectivity across the entire site. Both teaching and administration now benefit from increased stability and performance, supported by a scalable IT infrastructure designed to align with the school’s long-term goals. Rebecca and her team now benefit from a modern, stable, and secure IT environment that empowers both staff and students. The new infrastructure not only solves past challenges but also positions Kingsbury Primary School for a digitally confident future.
Next Steps
The next phase involves implementing VLANs to fully segregate each school’s network. This will enhance data security, improve network manageability, and provide each institution with independent IT control.
Client Feedback
“The difference has been like night and day. Our Wi-Fi is faster, the server is reliable, and we know our data is protected. It’s made a real difference to both staff and pupils.”
